When we see patients who
once felt discouraged smile again,
we are reminded that choosing
this path was the right decision.
Revision surgery and scar transplantation
are difficult procedures.
The scalp may be firm,
and donor hair may be limited,
and the direction of the hairline may already be incorrect.
Achieving high graft survival is also challenging.
Even so,
we consider the sincere words of gratitude
from our patients to be reward enough.
For that reason, we do not charge additional
fees for revision or scar procedures.
At some point, looking back,
we realized that graft survival in scar tissue had improved.
In the past, scar tissue itself was considered too stiff,
and the skin in those areas was fragile, making dense implantation difficult.
Because scars have fewer blood vessels,
we were taught to implant at lower density,
and that is how we used to proceed.
But now, even with higher density, graft survival remains good.
Somewhere along the way, that changed.
Time and experience make possible what once seemed impossible.
Now, it feels very meaningful to be able to reassure patients
that things can improve greatly.
Because these are not procedures performed every day,
it takes a long time
to build true experience.
Revision and scar procedures are not something we can perform daily.
That is why it takes even longer to accumulate experience.
With the belief that patients can always improve from their current condition,
we have continued performing revision and scar surgeries with confidence.
When patients who struggled for a long time trying to hide their appearance
finally feel happy with their results, it is deeply fulfilling for us.
To help our patients smile even more, we will continue to work without complacency.
